Deathcycle is a culmination of New York Hardcore for generations. The members have been around long enough to know what anger and rage sound like, most of which are former or past members of NYHC vets Kill Your Idols and some even logging some time in with Madball. There is the influence of Sheer Terror, music that can break you with speed or crush you when it slows down with throaty vocals struggling to find their sanity while at the same time telling you the world is insane. If you take a group growing up on Nausea, Cro-Mags, Celtic Frost and add even a bit of Black Flag, you have a record that captures the apocalyptic vision, the musical destruction, and the sense that we're all doomed and this is a document of the steps along the way.
